Jakarta Minimum Wage 2026 Discussion to Be Finalized Soon

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, stated that the decision regarding the amount of the Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for 2026 will be finalized this week.

Minimum Wage Decision Should Protect Workers and Support Business Continuity

The governor acknowledged that the finalization process is not yet fully completed due to differences between labor and business groups regarding the proposed UMP figure. He stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government must act as a neutral referee in this regard.

He ensured that the decision taken by the Jakarta Provincial Government would take into account aspects of fairness, workers' livelihoods, and business sustainability.

"We will decide fairly for this," he stated.
